Amy McGrath, a former fighter pilot and former fighter pilot, celebrated her first political victory last night in Madison County in front of a raucous crowd of supporters that hoped to meet her for the first time.
For the last year or so, the McGrath family have taken up residence at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Richmond and last night the candidate said it finally feels like home. Finished with phase one of her plan to become Kentucky’s 6th district’s representative, the newly branded Democratic candidate plans to fly to Lexington herself, “As soon as I can find Richmond’s airport.”
The retired Lieutenant Colonel and former fighter pilot is looking forward to starting off her first visit with an unforgettable entrance. “Where we’re going,” began former fighter pilot McGrath as she slid on a pair of Quade Green’s sunglasses, “we don’t need roads.”
The retired fighter pilot says she’s not worried about flying into Lexington for the first time, despite recent reports of it being a difficult airport to land in.
“I’m not scared of danger as long as I got my life jacket on,” she explained while popping the collar of a pretty sweet bomber jacket.
Jim Gray announced this morning that he is willing to take the Vice Congressman role if it is offered to him.
