The staff at Dan Cummins Chevrolet was instructed to take some time today, the day after Mother’s Day, to call their mothers “one more time” in order to tell them “exactly how you feel”.
“Ted?” a surprised mother answered the phone. “Mother, I was just calling one more time to tell you exactly how I feel,” the teary-eyed salesman stammered into the phone. Another salesman was assembling a bouquet of roses he was sending. The card read, “Roses are red/they go on the terrace, you can get a good deal, by driving to Paris.”
“We are helping everyone send flowers to their mothers,” an office assistant said. “We encourage our employees to let their mothers know exactly how they feel, but if you want to put nothing down, we can work with you. That’s the benefit of coming to Paris. Want to put something down? Nothing down? No problem! We can work with you.”
Mothers of Dan Cummins employees are sure to be much happier today than mothers of Courtesy On Wheels employees who just received a card telling them they were “SWEEEET!”
